Our Story

Founded in 1982, our chapter is a student-run organization with the purpose of providing members with the knowledge, skills, opportunities, and connections to be the best marketing professionals possible in their future careers. Since then, we have become a top 15 chapter of the American Marketing Association -- out of over 400 chapters around the country.

The American Marketing Association at James Madison University aims to create an educationally-motivated culture that places an emphasis on leadership, networking, communication, professionalism, and adaptability to our ever-changing world. As a prominent marketing organization on campus, we prepare members for the transition from undergraduate life to a successful career in the dynamic realm of business.

We strive to create opportunities to learn and implement marketing principles through professional speakers, fundraisers, and preparation for the the International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans.
