Some of What We Do...
Interested in marketing, creativity, strategy, or building your professional network? Check out some of what we do at JMU AMA and see how you can get involved!
Competitions
Every year, we attend American Marketing Association’s International Collegiate Conference (ICC), competing in events like the Marketing Strategy Case Competition, Perfect Pitch, Sales Competition, Digital Marketing Challenge, and much more. These competitions offer real-world experience, national exposure, and the chance to connect with top students and professionals from across the country.

Networking
We attend office visits at top firms such as The Martin Agency, where we engage with industry professionals and JMU alumni to gain meaningful insights into agency life, creative strategy, and the wide range of career opportunities within the marketing field. These experiences help our members explore potential career paths, sharpen their professional skills, and build valuable connections in the industry.

Conferences
In addition to competing, the AMA International Collegiate Conference (ICC) also offers keynote speakers, career development workshops, and networking events with top marketing professionals. Some of these sessions are hosted by other AMA chapters and firms like Deloitte, giving members even more opportunities to grow professionally and connect with peers from across the country.
Social Events
Outside of professional development, JMU AMA hosts multiple social events that build community and lasting connections. From fundraisers and outdoor activities to casual meetups, our events create a fun and welcoming environment beyond the classroom. A favorite tradition is Friendsgiving, where members share food, reflect on the semester, and enjoy time together.

Volunteering
In addition to competing, the AMA International Collegiate Conference (ICC) also offers keynote speakers, career development workshops, and networking events with top marketing professionals.
